Had an amazing group vacation with friends! We loved visiting Hansen Surfboards for local tips and hiking the scenic routes around Cabrillo National Monument. The location was great, and we met tons of awesome people. Remember to bring earplugs for the noise outside if you're a light sleeper.

I had a fantastic stay with easy access to countless eateries and attractions, including Horton Plaza Park just a short 500 meters away and the historic Gaslamp Museum less than a 10-minute walk from the hostel, making my city explorations super enjoyable! The atmosphere was vibrant with character, and the helpful maintenance staff ensured cleanliness throughout my stay, creating a welcoming environment for all types of travelers.

The location was amazing, just a short walk to restaurants and shops. Room felt clean, and the bed was comfy. Staff were friendly and willing to help when needed. Unfortunately, noise from the street was disruptive, especially at night. I could hear loud conversations from outside and music from nearby places. It was difficult to sleep through all that. Also, it felt like the staff were often preoccupied with each other during my inquiries, which sometimes made me feel like an interruption. I appreciated the low price for staying in a downtown area, but I wish the noise issues and staff attentiveness were better.
